Santa Cookies:

Ingredients:
 

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine,
  •  1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon red cinnamon candies
  • 1/2 cup vanilla frosting,
  • 1/4 cup flaked coconut or edible glitter
  • 1 fruit leather
     
Directions:
 
 
  1. Take a large bowl and beat sugar and butter until it is well mixed. Beat the vanilla and egg as well. Slowly beat the flour, baking soda and salt in the mixture. Shape the dough into balls and flattened it on cookie sheets.
  2. Press chocolate chips into the dough so that it looks like eyes. Bake the dough for 9 to 11 minutes. Press one cinnamon on each cookie to make it look like a nose. Remove it from the sheets and allow it to cool for 15 minutes.
  3. Make a cone with the frosting inside it and squeeze out the frosting to make beard and moustache. Sprinkle coconut flakes over the frosting.
  4. Cut the fruit snack and make triangular shaped hat for the cookies.
