Santa Claus's  legends of generosity and kindness are, well known all over while a special mention is always made, about his fondness for children. St Nicholas is supposed to be an elderly bearded figure and used to distribute gifts during, the holiday season to children and other needy people. After the death of the pious saint, Santa Claus was modeled on him, and he became a very popular Christmas symbol all over the world.

When is Santa Claus Birthday?

Santa Claus celebrates his birthday on 6th December, the day which commemorates the feat of Saint Nicholas. The saint was the patron saint for many groups of people including archers, shopkeepers, pawnbrokers, children, wolves, prisoners and countries like Greece etc. His feast day is the perfect occasion, to commemorate all that he had done for the religion, and the underprivileged people. In many cultures, gifts are traditionally exchanged, among family and friends on 6th of December in memory of St Nicholas.

Organizing a birthday party for Santa Claus can be a fun holiday activity for the kids. It is a good way to tell the kids about, St Nicholas and the wonderful things he did for Christianity.
